Hundreds of concerned citizens  rallied at Queens Park for the repeal of Breed Specific Laws supporting Parkdale-High Park  MPP Cheri DiNovo’s “Hershey’s Bill” on Saturday. Oct 1st. The rally was largely attended by dog owners and their K9 companions listening to Guest Speakers MPP Cheri DiNovo, Dr. David Kreaden, THS Pres. Marcie Laking, Selma Melvey, Evva Being and MC’d by animal advocate Fran Coughlin. The rally gathered momentum by the appearance of one of today’s  Hottest Stars “Maggie Q” from the hit TV show Nikita who spoke from the heart concerning her love of the breed and her personal fight against Breed  Specific Laws that unjustly profile dogs. Maggie Q is a spokesperson for Best Friends Animal Society who promoted the Toronto event and started up a petition to assist their Northern Neighbours in overturning the current law . http://news.change.org/stories/ontario-advocates-rally-to-repeal-canine-profiling
